So after searching for and writing about Mac and Cheese, it was time to go out for dinner and indulge in a little cheesy goodness.

Last night I was invited out to Smith and Wollensky in Chicago, which as you may know is the home of one of my favorite Cheese Mac recipes.

Being that it is Chicago and the weather often disobeys the laws of the seasons, it was a beautiful night in November. We actually sat outside overlooking the Chicago River which was amazing. The views of the lit up buildings over the water made for a fantastic evening, complete with Martini’s and Wine.

Back to the point. We of course ordered the Cheese Mac which was the highlight of the evening. Here is a picture of the fabulous dish:

It is perfectly crunchy and cheesy and awesome all at the same time. All I have to say is that if you are into Cheese Mac and are in NY or Chicago, you should definitely stop at S&W for a side of their Cheese Mac.

You won’t regret it.
