If they are the "elbow" noodles bring 6 cups of water to boil, add a little over 1/2 a cup of noodles(a box in my pantry says it weighs 5.5 ounces, the cheese packet is probably the .5 ounces; 4 ounces is 1/2 a cup...so 5 is a little over 1/2 a cup), boil for 7-8 miniutes until the noodles are done per your taste. Drain, do not rinse. Return to pan add 3 tablespoons butter, cheese packet and about 1/4 cup of milk, stir; eat and enjoy!

If they are the "shaped" noodles, such as Spongebob character then boil for 13-14 minutes

Are you making the whole box or just half of it?

For the whole box:
Fill a 2 qt. pot half full with tap water, bring to a boil. Pour the box of macaroni into the pot. Stir the macaroni to evenly distribute it in the pot andto make sure none sticks to the bottom of the pot.

Bring the water to a boil again, being careful the water doesn't boil over. Cook the macaroni for 8 minutes or until the macaroni is soft but not mushy. It can overcook.

Turn off the stove and pour the macaroni into a collander . Put the macaroni back into the pot. Add 1 T. of butter to the macaroni and stir. Empty the pouch of cheese over the macaroni and stir till incorporated. Pour in 1/4 cup of milk and stir again.

The milk and butter can be adjusted to your taste. I've also added some extra velveeta cheese and let it melt on the macaroni. I love macaroni very cheesy. ;-)

Bring water to a boil, add about 1 cup of noodles and cook for 7 minutes - drain well. Return drained noodles to the pot and mix in 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup milk and your cheese packet. Stir well to mix.
